The attorney for Trayvon Martin’s family will join film lovers Sunday for the world premiere of a documentary in which he has a major role.
Benjamin Crump will attend the premiere of the documentary “Beating Justice: The Martin Lee Anderson Story” at the Florida Film Festival in Winter Park. The screening starts at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday at Regal Winter Park Village 20.
Crump was the attorney for the Anderson family, which was seeking justice for the death of Martin Lee Anderson.
Anderson died at one of Florida’s juvenile boot camps in 2006. Surveillance video showed Anderson being beaten by guards. The case led to the shut down of the boot camp.
Trayvon Martin died in February. He was shot and killed in a Sanford neighborhood by George Zimmerman, who is now facing second-degree murder charges.
